Small World Day Care & Preschool, Inc implements an After-School & Summer Enrichment Program, designed to serve children K-5 from low-income homes residing in the Little River area. The program focuses on academic performance for all children, including children with disabilities. The program includes group literacy, differentiated literacy instruction (DLI), social & emotional learning, physical health & nutrition and enrichment activities in STEM (science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Arts & Culture (Dance, Zumba, Theater and Visual Arts) and Sports (Safe Archery, Basketball, Soccer, Board Games, Indoor/Outdoor Games, and Martial Arts. During summer camp, the program provides field trips. The program is free of charge, engages children Monday-Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm during the school year and 8 am to 6 pm during summer. The entirety of the program is inclusive of children with disabilities, the staff is sensitive to their needs and will give them one-on- one attention through activities as needed.
The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of all children and families in Miami-Dade County.

Our commitment is to provide you and your child with the best in child care and education. This handbook is given to all parents at the time of enrollment of their child in the child care center, and is designed to acquaint you with our policies and procedures. In addition to our policies, we are licensed by the state of Florida and abide by state rules and regulations.
